Are the apartments in Tashkent being built crookedly?

Videos showing that the upper part of a construction site, located at the intersection of Islam Karimov and Bunyodkor streets in the Shaikhontohur district of the capital Tashkent, is being built crookedly.  The Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy reacted to the situation.

According to the ministry, the building was designed on the basis of a unique design as an example of modern architecture, which does not mean that there are any defects in the structural elements of the building.  Construction of the object is being carried out based on the established requirements and norms.

In particular, K-4 and K-5 cast reinforced concrete columns from the 23rd to the 26th floor were designed with bending, based on the solutions of the KJ (reinforced concrete structures) section of the approved project documents, and this was done in accordance with construction standards and regulations.

Also, after the working project documents were developed by the local Limited Liability Company, “Research and Design Center of Earthquake-Resistant Construction Anti-seismic” Limited Liability Company was checked with an approach to the seismicity of this area, and on 16 March 2021, a positive conclusion was also made in this regard.
