Lacetti car strikes two pedestrians near Botanical Garden

A Lacetti car struck two pedestrians near the Botanical Garden in Tashkent, as reported by Nilufar Madieva, press secretary of the city MDIA, to QALAMPIR.UZ.

The incident occurred on October 23, 2024, at 10:10 PM on Bogishamol Street in the Yunusabad district. The driver, identified as M.A., born in 1999, collided with the pedestrians as they crossed the road.

Tragically, one of the pedestrians, A.D., born in 2004, was killed in the accident, while the other, J.M., also born in 2004, sustained injuries and received first aid from medical personnel.

Madieva stated, "Regarding the situation, inquiries are being made by the responsible staff of the Traffic Safety Service of the Tashkent MDIA. We ask all drivers to follow the established rules."

In a related note, a pedestrian was killed in a previous accident in Samarkand on October 21, 2024. In that incident, a Cobalt car struck a pedestrian crossing the street at an unmarked location on a highway in the Ishtikhon district, resulting in serious injuries that proved fatal.
