Reports circulated on social media that a 5-year-old child fell from the second floor of a kindergarten in the Chilonzor district of Tashkent. The Tashkent City Department of Preschool and School Education has addressed the incident.
It was reported that on June 30, at approximately 9:45 a.m., at State Preschool Educational Institution No. 7 in Chilonzor district, a student identified as R.I. fell down the stairs from the second floor due to lack of supervision. Upon learning about the accident, a nurse at the institution provided immediate first aid and transported the child to the children’s ward of City Hospital No. 16.
According to the doctors’ initial diagnosis, R.I. suffered fractures to both wrists, a fracture of the nasal bone, and a fracture of the alveolar ridge of the upper molars. The child was admitted to the intensive care unit in critical condition but was later discharged from intensive care after his condition stabilized.
The case is currently under investigation by officers of the Chilonzor district Internal Affairs Department.
It is worth recalling a previous tragic incident in the Bukhara region, where a child named Sh.Sh., born in 2023, died from an electric shock caused by negligence of an educator at a preschool educational institution operated by individual entrepreneur H.U. in the Bukhara district.
