10558The “JARA” Russian music festival, scheduled to be held on 20-21 May this year at the “New Uzbekistan” recreation park in Tashkent, has been postponed indefinitely. A source informed QALAMPIR.UZ about this.
According to information, such a decision was taken by the organizers themselves. About thirty Russian artists such as HammAli & Navai, Ani Lorak, Yegor Creed, Emin, Marie Kraimbreri, Jony, Olga Buzova were expected to participate in this festival.
Apparently, the cancellation of the festival is related to the protest action started by some local bloggers on social networks against the performance of Russian artists who support Vladimir Putin’s policy. According to some users, the appearance of stars in Uzbekistan means that the republic supports the Russian side in the conflict in Ukraine.
It is currently unclear how the refund process for already purchased tickets will be organized.
FYI, JARA is an annual international music festival. It was founded in 2016 by Russian and Azerbaijani singer, musician and businessman Emin Agalarov.
