The news about the price increase in public transport in Tashkent is only a draft law - according to the Ministry of Transport

There were reports on social networks that the price of public transport in the capital will increase to 2,000 soums. According to these reports, the fare of 2,000 soums will apply to both payments made through a transport card and in cash. Additionally, only ATTO transport card users are offered discounts for using two or more vehicles within 1 hour.

However, according to the information provided by Navroz Ashurmatov, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Transport, to QALAMPIR.UZ, these reports were spread based on the information contained in the draft decision of the Tashkent city mayor and have not yet been confirmed.

"This is stated in the draft of the decision issued by the mayor of Tashkent, but it has not been confirmed yet. Therefore, no representative of the transport sector can give accurate information about this. This is just a draft law," said Ashurmatov.
