A conflict between two young men working at a canned goods factory in Tashkent ended in a fatal attack. The press secretary of the Supreme Court, Aziz Obidov, provided details of the incident.
According to the report, the 22-year-old defendant was responsible for receiving orders for products, while the 28-year-old deceased was responsible for collecting payments for goods delivered to stores.
It was revealed that the defendant had taken money from stores for the products without informing the deceased. Instead of handing over the money to the enterprise, he used it for his benefit. When the deceased confronted him and demanded the return of the funds, the defendant devised a plan to deliberately kill him.
Carrying out his plan, the defendant attacked his colleague with a knife he had brought with him. The 28-year-old man died at the scene of the attack.
The case was heard at the Sergeli District Criminal Court.
The court found the defendant guilty of crimes under Article 97, Part 2 (Murder), Article 168, Part 3 (Fraud), and Article 112, Part 1 (Intentional Infliction of Injury) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
It is worth noting that a similar incident occurred earlier in Tashkent, where a son, in a state of mental excitement after being beaten by his father, stabbed his father with a kitchen knife.
