Restrictions on watering private gardens in Tashkent lifted for spring and summer

The restriction on watering trees on the land of individuals and legal entities in Tashkent with drinking water during the spring and summer seasons has been lifted. This was stated in the decree “On Urgent Measures to Improve the Environmental Situation in Tashkent City,” signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev yesterday, 24 November.

Water tanks will be installed in multi-apartment buildings to facilitate irrigation.

It was noted that the ban on using drinking water to water trees on the land of individuals and legal entities during the spring and summer seasons is now lifted. Previously, watering during this period was only permitted from midnight to 5:00 a.m.

Restrictions on using drinking water for purposes other than irrigation remain in effect.

It is worth noting that earlier, it was announced that the number of fountains in Tashkent would double, and artificial lakes and water reservoirs would be established.
