Tracker Hits and kills a pedestrian after a crash with Lacetti

A pedestrian standing on the roadside was killed after being hit by a Tracker vehicle in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent. The capital’s Traffic Safety Department reported the incident.

According to the report, on July 20 at around 1:30 p.m., a Lacetti and a Tracker collided at the intersection of Oltin Tepa and Chahbud streets in the Mirzo Ulugbek district. Following the collision, the Tracker driver lost control of the steering wheel and struck a pedestrian standing on the side of the road. The victim died at the scene from his injuries.

The Investigation Department of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate has opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code, which concerns violations of traffic safety rules resulting in death. Preliminary investigative actions are underway.

For reference, earlier in the Bektemir district of Tashkent, a driver hit a pedestrian and also damaged a tree in a traffic accident.
