Two individuals arrested for operating a drug laboratory in Tashkent

Two individuals involved in organizing a drug laboratory have been detained in the Tashkent region, according to the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city.
A suspect born in 2000 was apprehended in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent city, where authorities found strong drugs and synthetic narcotics in his possession. Following his arrest, operatives launched an investigation to trace the source of the substances.
The investigation revealed that the suspect had received the drugs from a man named Jasur, born in 1991, who had a prior conviction. Officers subsequently traveled to the city of Chirchik, Tashkent region, and, with witnesses present, searched Jasur's residence. The search uncovered a drug laboratory, as well as 42 liters of precursors used for narcotic production, 42 grams of narcotic substances, 21 pieces of strong drugs, and other related evidence.
The operation continued with the involvement of officers from the Uchtepa district Internal Affairs Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the State Security Service. During interrogations, authorities detained another individual, Hamid, who was found to be storing significant quantities of narcotics and strong drugs at his residence in Chirchik. The authorities seized 435 grams of narcotic substances and 12 pieces of strong drugs.
As a result of these operations, the distribution of narcotic substances and strong drugs, valued at approximately 813,716 US dollars, was successfully disrupted.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 5 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the illegal preparation, acquisition, storage, and trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. The suspects have been remanded in custody.
It is important to note that a previous case involved the detention of an individual in the Tashkent region for running a marijuana cultivation laboratory.
