“Cat Hotel” is opened in Tashkent

An unusual "hotel" has been established in the "Vatan" neighborhood of the Uchtepa district in the city of Tashkent. It is exclusively designed for cats, and this information was reported by the Tashkent City Administration.

This unique "hotel" was constructed through the collaborative efforts of volunteers and with the approval of neighborhood residents. It serves as a sanctuary for street cats during the harsh winter days.

For reference, the "Cat Hotel" is a joint project involving animal advocates working in partnership with the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department and the "Hayat" dog shelter. In 2021, the National Guard of Uzbekistan also became a part of this initiative. The project's inception dates back to November 10, 2019 when the first cat house was installed in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent. The second house was established by the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Mirabad district.
