It was proposed to limit the speed of cars to 60 kilometers per hour on some streets of Tashkent.  However, we reported that the People's Deputies of the Tashkent City Council rejected the proposal. Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies commented on this decision and stated that the offer was not rejected.

It is noted that on the agenda of the seventieth session of the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies on 16 September 2022, the Head of the Internal Affairs Department of the Tashkent City HDIA (Head of the Department of Internal Affairs) HRTS (Head of Road Traffic Safety) on some streets of the city of Tashkent.  The proposal to reduce the speed limit to 60 kilometers per hour was considered.

"During the discussion of the proposal introduced by the deputies above, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth study together with the relevant offices and organizations, including the street and road network of Tashkent city, the directions of population movement and a number of similar factors. the need to take into account was stated.

Based on the above, the deputies did not reject this proposal, and it is reported that a decision was made to re-introduce the People's Deputies to the deliberations of the next session of the Tashkent City Council," the official statement said.
