Multi-storey parking lots will be built in Tashkent

Multi-storey parking lots are being built by the government in Tashkent city.  This is stipulated in the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On measures to reform the public transport system”.

It is noted that a special state institution will be established in Tashkent for the construction of multi-storey parking lots.  Land plots will be allocated directly for this.  Later, these parking lots will be given to entrepreneurs on the condition that they do not change their profile.

The construction of parking lots will be financed in equal shares from the part of the republican and local budget revenues that have been completed in excess of the plan.  In the first stage, 4 destinations with high traffic volumes will be selected.

The project on the construction of multi-storey parking lots is scheduled to be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers within a month, together with the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy, the Tashkent city administration, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
