Criminal group that packaged and sold powerful drugs was caught in Tashkent

The activities of a criminal group involved in the packaging and sale of large quantities of powerful drugs have been stopped in Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to reports, during an operation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was discovered that individuals born in 1994 and 1997 were packaging large quantities of powerful drugs and distributing them. When these two individuals were apprehended and searched in the Mirzo Ulugbek district, they were found to have 300 units of "Pregabalin" and 8 units of "Tropicamide," both potent drugs.

During the operation, it was found that one of the arrested individuals possessed drugs, vials, empty capsules, electronic scales, and various mixing devices for packaging drugs prepared for distribution. These items were seized as physical evidence.

Additionally, 36 kilograms of "Pregabalin" hidden in 12 packages of washing powder and 1.5 kilograms of "Pregabalin" in a glue container, along with 2700 units of packaged "Pregabalin" medicine and empty capsules, were found in the trunk of a Spark car belonging to one of the arrested individuals.

"During the rapid response operation, the sale of 42 kilograms and 806 grams of powerful drugs, with a total value of 35 billion 692 million soums, was thwarted. Currently, a criminal case has been opened and investigations are ongoing," the report stated. 

We remind you that earlier in Tashkent, individuals who had organized a drug laboratory were also arrested.
