In Tashkent’s Shaikhontohur district on Kokhota Street, during an ongoing construction process, an improperly excavated kotlovan led to the collapse of a "simyogoch". This incident reportedly caused a fire at a nearby residence, which was quickly extinguished by residents. In order to clarify the situation, QALAMPIR.UZ contacted the capital’s Construction and Communal Services Control Inspection.

According to initial reports, on May 15, near the construction site, a simyog‘och (a support column) installed along the roadside partially bent and collapsed. Preliminary information suggests that this malfunction occurred as a consequence of negligence during the construction process.

Following the incident, officials from the Construction and Communal Services Control Inspection arrived at the scene to conduct a thorough investigation. Their review determined that no injuries had occurred and that neither the residents nor the surrounding structures suffered significant damage. Furthermore, the technical damage was promptly remedied by the construction organization.

It is also worth noting that a similar incident had occurred previously in the Chilanzar district, where part of a road collapsed during the excavation of a kotlovan.
