Vocational school student brutally beaten in Tashkent (video)

Reports have spread on social media that a disabled student at one of the vocational schools in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent was brutally beaten. The photos attached to the reports show bruises on the boy’s eyes, face, and various parts of his body. QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to Surayya Rakhmonova, the Ombudsperson for Children under the Oliy Majlis, for clarification on the incident.
According to her, the Office of the Ombudsperson for Children received a complaint from a woman born in 1985, identified as Kh.G. She reported that during September of this year, her underage son, R.F., who has a Group 2 disability and studies at a vocational school in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent city, had been subjected to various forms of physical abuse at the institution.
At present, the Ombudsperson for Children has contacted the boy’s mother. Law enforcement bodies are conducting a pre-investigation inquiry into the matter. A forensic medical examination has been ordered regarding the injuries sustained by the boy. The Ombudsperson for Children will continue monitoring the case and provide additional information in due course.
It is worth noting that earlier, a woman born in 1980 intervened in a quarrel between her grandson, born in 2022, and another boy, born in 2017, who was playing in the same area in the city of Termez, Surkhandarya region. She struck the 8-year-old boy several times in the face with her hand, causing injuries.
