Driver who failed to stop at red light in Tashkent hits 12-year-old boy

On May 1 of this year, a Lacetti vehicle struck a 12-year-old pedestrian in the Yakkasaroy district of Tashkent. This was reported in the “Millar” television program.

According to reports, the 21-year-old driver ran a red light and hit the child as he was crossing at a regulated pedestrian crossing. The boy was taken to the hospital but unfortunately died from his injuries.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code, which relates to the violation of traffic safety rules resulting in death.

The driver has been detained in accordance with legal procedures, and an investigation is currently underway.

It should be noted that on May 2, a separate incident also occurred in the Yakkasaroy district, where a Lacetti vehicle hit a pedestrian who later died in the hospital.
