Workshop that stole nearly 6 billion sums of gas discovered in Tashkent (video)

A metal smelting workshop that illegally consumed 5.775 billion sums worth of natural gas has been discovered in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent. This was reported by "Hududgaz Poytakht".

It was noted that the State Gas Regulatory Agency "Hududgaz Poytakht", in cooperation with compliance control bodies and law enforcement agencies, conducted an operation to identify cases of illegal use of natural gas in the Yangihayot district.

During the operation, it was revealed that a metal smelting workshop had been established in a building owned by “B.B.” LLC, located in the "Sputnik-3" area. The facility was illegally using natural gas without renewing its contract with the gas supply company and had deliberately tampered with the one-time seal installed on the shut-off valve.

According to the report, a formal act was drawn up, a recalculation was conducted, and the financial loss was estimated at 5.775 billion sums. All related documents have been submitted to law enforcement authorities for further action.

For reference, a similar case was previously uncovered in the Syrdarya region, where a limited liability company was found to have illegally used 1.4 billion sums worth of electricity.
