3451Instances of fraud linked to the issuance of driver's licenses were uncovered in both Tashkent city and its surrounding region, as reported by the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office.
It's mentioned that in cooperation with Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications personnel, a swift operation was conducted by the Chinoz district division of the department.
During this operation, citizen B.O. was apprehended with tangible evidence after entrusting M.A. and paying $1,200 to secure a driver's license through connections in high positions, without having to undergo any exams.
Similarly, citizen M.A. participated in a rapid operation in the Mirzo Ulugbek district. Citizen E.M. was caught with evidence after paying $500 to obtain a driver's license without examination, facilitated by contacts in influential positions.
The report states that criminal cases have been initiated under Articles 168 (fraud) and 28, 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code, and investigations are underway in light of these incidents.
