Those involved in drug distribution were apprehended in Tashkent

Several individuals engaged in the distribution of narcotic drugs were apprehended by law enforcement agencies during an operation, as reported by the press service of Tashkent HDIA.

It was discovered that on February 8 of this year, in the Chilonzor district, Ergashev Lazizbek Aziz, born in 2002, was exhibiting suspicious behavior. He was stopped and searched in the presence of impartial officers, leading to the discovery of 10 packs of the narcotic drug "Mephedrone" in his possession. The narcotic drugs were registered as material evidence and submitted to the investigation with relevant documentation.

In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated against Lazizbek Ergashev under Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a precautionary measure in the form of imprisonment was implemented.

Similarly, on February 14 of this year, in the Mirabad district, Kholmonov Javahir Ikhtiyor, born in 1996, was exhibiting suspicious behavior. He was stopped and searched, revealing that he had 6 packs of the narcotic drug "Mephedrone" in his possession, which were taken as physical evidence.

In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated against Jawohir Kholmanov under Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a preventive measure in the form of imprisonment was applied.

The investigation of these cases is currently ongoing, according to the report.
