Videos circulating on social media show an intoxicated man threatening children with a knife multiple times in the Shaykhontohur district of Tashkent. The capital’s Department of Internal Affairs provided details on the incident.
According to the report, on April 18, 2025, at 19:40, an alert was triggered at a parking lot on Sebzor Street via an installed “panic button.” Officers from the Security Department of the Internal Affairs Ministry promptly arrived at the scene.
It was discovered that Kh.S., born in 1958, was intoxicated and had been threatening the parking lot guard and other citizens with a kitchen knife, disturbing public order. He fled the scene and entered a nearby apartment building. Swift actions by law enforcement led to Kh.S.’s apprehension and transfer to the nearest police station.
The Department of Internal Affairs confirmed that no injuries were inflicted by Kh.S. during the incident. Administrative protocols were filed against him under the Administrative Responsibility Code for minor hooliganism (Article 183), failure to comply with lawful demands of law enforcement officers (Article 194), and carrying cold weapons or items that could be used as such (Article 185-2). The case was submitted to the Shaykhontohur District Criminal Court, which sentenced Kh.S. to 10 days of administrative detention.

Leaked videos show the man striking a child’s head multiple times in an elevator. Some reports claim the individual is a Malaysian citizen and has been involved in similar incidents before. However, these details were not confirmed in the official statement from the Department of Internal Affairs.
Earlier, in Samarkand, three individuals aged 23, 24, and 17 were arrested for threatening a 44-year-old man with a knife and stealing $1,900.
