7572In Tashkent, a man has been sentenced to two years in prison for falsifying a popular UZB series license plate. This was reported by the Traffic Safety Department of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate.
According to the report, the individual, born in 1989, had been using a fake UZB license plate on his Gentra model car. The man had ordered these plates from a company in the Russian Federation. Additionally, to avoid liability, he presented a document to the traffic police inspectors that purportedly authorized the use of the UZB state plate, which was confirmed by an official agency. However, the investigation revealed that the document was forged by the individual himself.
During the investigation, it was also discovered that the accused had hidden several other fake plates.
"My main goal was envy. I had no criminal or malicious intent. I regret my actions," the accused said.
The Chilonzor District Court of Criminal Cases found him guilty under parts 1 and 3 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code (production, forgery, sale, or use of documents, stamps, seals, and blanks). The individual was sentenced to two years of imprisonment.
