Person selling “tablets” for 60 million soums detained in Tashkent

Cases involving the illegal circulation of potent medicines have been identified in Tashkent city and region. The information was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the report, a HONGQI vehicle driven by citizen R.Ya. was stopped and inspected in accordance with established procedures. During the inspection, 112 units of a potent medicine called “Regapen” belonging to citizen A.A. were found inside the vehicle and seized as material evidence.

In another operation conducted by the Almazar district department of the Economic Crimes Department in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, citizen N.S. was detained while allegedly selling 133 boxes of potent medicines to citizen I.A. for $4,300 and 9 million soums.

It was reported that criminal cases have been initiated in connection with these incidents under relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Investigations are currently underway.

It is worth recalling that earlier in Andijan city, drugs were found in a vehicle belonging to a person who had demanded additional money beyond the agreed amount for a phone that had already been sold.
