Three-car accident in Tashkent leads to pedestrian fatality

4030On January 21, a traffic accident involving three cars occurred in Tashkent, resulting in the death of a pedestrian. This was reported by the Traffic Safety Department of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department.
According to the report, at 9:40 AM on Buyuk Ipak Yoli Street in the Mirzo Ulugbek district, a pedestrian was struck while crossing an unmarked road by a GAZ-32221 car driven by O.S., born in 1965. Following the collision, the driver lost control of the vehicle, and the GAZ car crashed into a BYD, which was driven by Z.Z., born in 1990. The impact of this collision caused the driver of the BYD, R.T., born in 1954, to hit a Matiz car he was operating.
The pedestrian, unfortunately, died at the scene from the injuries sustained in the accident.
As a result of the incident, a criminal case has been initiated by the Investigative Department of the MDIA under Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The investigation is ongoing.
In a separate incident, two passengers were killed earlier in a crash involving a Damas vehicle in the Fergana region.
