Violence in Tashkent: Young woman assaulted by her boyfriend in public

Reports have circulated on social networks about an incident in which an 18-year-old girl was beaten by her boyfriend on a street in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent. The Main Department of Internal Affairs of the capital provided official information regarding the case.

According to the report, on April 14 of this year, at approximately 11:50 a.m., on Mirzo Ulugbek Street in the Mirzo Ulugbek district, S.A., born in 2003, used physical force against his acquaintance A.J., born in 2006, due to a disagreement. During the quarrel, S.A. inflicted bodily injuries on the girl. As a result, the victim sought medical assistance at a hospital.

The Investigation Department of the Federal Migration Service of the Mirzo Ulugbek District Internal Affairs Department has initiated a criminal case under Article 277 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code. The investigation is currently ongoing.

It is worth recalling that earlier in the Fergana region, a man killed his sleeping wife after dreaming that she was cheating on him. The defendant, a father of three children, was sentenced to 16 years in prison under Article 97 of the Criminal Code (Intentional Murder).
