Videos showing a case of a minor girl being forced into prostitution through pressure and violence in Tashkent have been circulating on social networks, causing public outcry. The regional Department of Internal Affairs has responded to this case.
It is noted that the case was investigated by the Internal Affairs bodies and the identities of the women in the video have been clarified.
During the investigation, Sh.T., born in 2004 and previously convicted under a number of articles of the Criminal Code, was holding M.M., born in 2008, who was known to him, in an apartment in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent. He robbed and sold the girl's phone. In addition, he took advantage of M.M.'s weak condition and systematically harassed her.
In this case, the rights of the victim M.M. were legally restored, and the Andijan regional police department initiated a criminal case against the suspect Sh.T. under Article 138 (illegal deprivation of liberty by force), Part 2, Paragraph “a”, Article 135 (human trafficking), Part 3, Paragraph “a, b”, and Article 166 (robbery), Part 2, Paragraph “a”, of the Criminal Code, and a precautionary measure in the form of arrest was applied to him.
Currently, the victim M.M. is being provided with psychological, legal and social assistance by the Andijan regional department of the National Agency for Social Protection.
It is worth noting that earlier it was revealed that a girl born in 2008 was working in one of the nightclubs in Andijan.
