Individuals who forged 100,000 dollars were caught in Tashkent

The Information Service of the State Security Service reported that some individuals who attempted to exchange 100,000 fake US dollars, for 70,000 US dollars were caught.
According to information, 4 citizens born between 1974 and 1982 in the Sergeli district were caught with physical evidence by the State Security Service and the Prosecutor’s Office when they sold counterfeit 100,000 US dollars for an amount of 70,000 US dollars. Furthermore, counterfeit US dollars in the amount of 10,950 were taken from the residence of one of accused.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated in connection with this situation, under Article 176 of the Criminal Code (making and transferring counterfeit money, excise stamps or securities), part 2, paragraph “v”, and investigations are underway.
