Nearly 2 billion soums in gas theft detected in the Tashkent region

Entrepreneurs who illegally used natural gas worth 1.9 billion soums have been identified in the Tashkent region. This was reported by Hududgaztaminot JSC.

According to the report, the compliance control units of the Tashkent branch of Hududgaztaminot, in cooperation with employees from district and city gas supply departments as well as law enforcement agencies, are conducting large-scale raids across the region to detect illegal use of natural gas.

During the inspection of a non-residential building in the “Salar” neighborhood of the Kibray district, it was revealed that citizen Sh.A. had established a tile production workshop and illegally connected to the gas supply network without any design or technical documentation. Calculations made through the “E-Administrative” program showed that the gas supplier had incurred losses amounting to 955 million 583 thousand soums.

In another case, during an investigation into a bakery owned by “R.Q.” LLC, located in the “Usta Nurmat” MFE of the Oqqurgan district, it was found that the enterprise had connected to the gas network without proper documentation and was illegally using natural gas. The damage in this case was calculated at 946 million 80 thousand soums.

It is reported that official documents have been prepared regarding the identified violations and handed over to law enforcement agencies for further action.

It is worth noting that earlier in the Fergana region, a gas compressor station was discovered using natural gas illegally, resulting in losses estimated at 2.9 billion soums.
