6976On December 15, a train collided with a Damas car that had become stuck on the tracks in the Tashkent region. This incident was reported by "Uzbekistan Railways."
According to the report, the driver of the Damas attempted to cross the Dalaguzar-Nazarbek railway crossing in Zangiota district, disregarding the prohibitory signs, and got stuck on the tracks.
The owner of the Damas, along with other drivers, attempted to free the vehicle but was unsuccessful. The driver of the freight train noticed the car on the tracks and immediately activated emergency braking. However, due to the long braking distance of the freight train—ranging from 800 to 1,000 meters—it was impossible to prevent the collision.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Earlier, a similar accident occurred in the Termez district of the Surkhandarya region, where a "Gazel" truck collided with a train at a railway crossing. The accident caused the "Termez-Darband" intercity passenger train, pulled by an electric locomotive, to stop. After emergency measures were taken, the train resumed its journey at 17:25 on the same day.
