One prisoner killed another in the Tashkent region

A quarrel between two convicts ended with a death in one of the correctional colonies of the Piskent district of Tashkent province.  This is reported by the information program «Zamon».

The incident took place on 4 July of this year in the hostel of the colony at 50.  During an argument, a a four-time convicted person injured another prisoner.

“He had an iron weapon in his hand last night and stabbed me.  At that moment I hit him on the chin, and when I hit him, his right leg slipped and he fell to the ground, although I did try to catch him”, - said the accused.

According to the verdict of the court, the accused S.H., was found guilty of committing the crime under Article 104, paragraph «d» (intentional infliction of serious injury to health) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.  He was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment with a partial sentence yet to be served.

Earlier, we reported that the prisoner died in a penitentiary institution in the Navoi region. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he committed suicide.
