Illegal land sellers were apprehended in Tashkent and Bukhara

The illegal sale of land in Tashkent and Bukhara regions was halted, as reported by the State Security Service.

In the Orta Chirchiq district of Tashkent region, two brokers were caught accepting $70,000 to register 96.6 hectares of pasture land leased for 30 years to an agricultural LLC in Ohangaron district. They intended to use their official connections to facilitate the transaction under a false name for animal husbandry purposes.

During the investigation, it was discovered that the brokers sought assistance from three individuals within the Department of Agriculture of Tashkent region, including the deputy head, department head, and chief specialist, who were subsequently arrested.

Additionally, collusion was uncovered between the manager and an employee of an LLC in Tashkent district, who accepted $50,000 to formalize the lease rights for 25 acres of land for the establishment of a parking lot and walnut grove, out of the total 50 acres leased to the LLC.

A resident of Ohangaron district, born in 1983, was apprehended for attempting to fraudulently register 20 hectares of land leased to his mother's livestock farm for 49 years, and for soliciting $100,000 and receiving $30,000 in advance for illegal construction permits on 40 acres of the land.

Similarly, violations were found in the Bukhara region, where the head of a horticulture farm in Bukhara district was arrested for agreeing to sell 5.3 hectares of leased land for $95,000 and receiving $30,000 upfront.

Criminal cases have been initiated against all involved parties, and investigations are ongoing.
