Head appointed to Tashkent City Tax Department

Jahongir Muzaffarovich Mirpolatov has been appointed acting head of the Tashkent City Tax Department by order of the chairman of Uzbekistan’s Tax Committee, according to the committee’s official statement.

Mirpolatov was born in Tashkent in 1985. He completed the Tashkent College of Finance and Economics in 2003 and graduated from the Tashkent State University of Economics in 2011.

He began his career in 2003 at the Chilanzar District State Tax Inspectorate and later held various senior and managerial positions. In 2018, he was appointed head of the Sergeli District State Tax Inspectorate.

Before his latest appointment, he served as director of the Department for Services to Legal Entities at the Tax Committee.

At a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on January 27, the work of Tashkent’s tax authorities was criticized and several officials were dismissed, including the former head of the city tax department, Yunusjon Nasimjonov.
