Tashkent airport faces flight diversions amid heavy fog

Tashkent International Airport has temporarily suspended aircraft reception due to adverse weather conditions, specifically heavy fog. Uzbekistan Airports provided this update in an official statement.
Several flights were diverted to alternative airports as a result:
- Silk Avia’s US402 flight from Fergana to Tashkent was rerouted to Samarkand.
- Uzbekistan Airways’ HY778 flight from Bishkek to Tashkent was also redirected to Samarkand.
- UTair’s UTA-709 flight from Surgut to Tashkent was diverted to Samarkand.
- Centrum Air’s MFX-352 flight from Dubai to Tashkent landed in Samarkand.
- Uzbekistan Airways’ HY9702 flight from Grozny to Tashkent was rerouted to Bukhara.
“Flight information is being updated,” the statement added.
