On January 6, certain restrictions were introduced on aircraft arrivals and departures at Tashkent International Airport due to adverse weather conditions, including fog with visibility reduced to 700 meters. Uzbekistan Airports reported the situation.
According to the statement, Centrum Air’s C6550 flight on the Seoul–Tashkent route and Air Samarkand’s 9S3304 flight operating from Jeddah to Tashkent were diverted to an alternate airport in Samarkand, as the crews’ certification did not meet the established weather-related requirements.
It is worth noting that earlier, a partial power outage was reported at Tashkent International Airport. At that time, the departure and arrival terminals were supplied with electricity via backup diesel generators and UPS systems.
