Fakhriddin Davrukov, the deputy mayor of Tashkent responsible for tourism, was dismissed, as announced by the President's press secretary, Sherzod Asadov.

Today, on June 3, a video conference led by the President is being held to discuss measures to enhance tourism infrastructure in the regions and increase the number of foreign tourists. Businessmen operating in the tourism sector also participate in the dialogue.

It was noted that in recent years, tourist attractions like Tashkent City, Tashkent Mall, and Magic City have been constructed in the capital. These complexes attract over 4 million visitors annually, with more than 35 percent being foreign tourists.

However, during the meeting, the capital's administration was criticized for not proactively presenting new proposals.

As a result, Fakhriddin Davrukov was dismissed from his position as deputy mayor for tourism.

Additionally, the Prime Minister was instructed to evaluate the performance of each deputy mayor in charge of tourism.

The report highlighted the growing interest among young people in extreme tourism, mentioning areas like Parkent, Bostonliq, and Aydarkol as having ample opportunities for such activities. Moynoq was identified as a potential site for parachuting and air diving, with a recommendation to designate a separate airspace for these activities.

Officials were directed to develop a program aimed at promoting extreme tourism.
