The mayor of Tashkent becomes a deputy

7906Today, on July 2, Tashkent city mayor Shavkat Umurzoqov was elected as a deputy. This was reported by the Tashkent city administration.
It is noted that at the 104th session of the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies, Abdulla Magrupov, the chairman of the regional election commission of the city of Tashkent, gave information about the results of the elections for the vacant deputy seats in the capital.
In it, it was mentioned that Shavkat Boronovich Umurzoqov, the candidate of the Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, the mayor of the capital, was elected as a deputy of the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies instead of the vacant deputy seat in the "Turkiston-53" electoral district of Yunusobod district.
It's worth noting that earlier it was reported that Shavkat Umurzoqov, who is working as the acting mayor of Tashkent city, has been confirmed as the mayor of the city
