4463More than 1,500 Uzbek students are currently studying in leading universities worldwide. This was revealed on February 14 during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's dialogue with the youth of Uzbekistan at the "Kuksaroy" residence.
These young students are setting an example for their peers with their achievements in various fields, marking an unprecedented milestone in Uzbekistan's history.
It was also highlighted that the Presidential School in Tashkent was recognized as the winner in the most prestigious category at a recent forum held in the United Arab Emirates.
"If you ask me what the main factor is for this, I would first of all answer that the attitude towards youth has completely changed at the state level. Our sons and daughters are feeling that the issue of youth has become a priority of state policy, and are gaining immense strength," said President Mirziyoyev.
Five years ago, the Youth Parliament was established in the Senate and the Legislative Chamber, giving young people practical exposure to political leadership, democracy, and parliamentarism. In the last elections, two of these young leaders were elected to the Legislative Chamber, while 250 secured seats in local councils.
“Now, leaders in all systems are forced to listen to the voice of young people. A leader who does not understand that young people are the main link in our great future has no right to be in our ranks,” the President emphasized.
