Mother beats her child on TikTok live broadcast (video)

A video showing a mother physically assaulting her child during a TikTok live broadcast has spread across social media, sparking widespread discussion. To clarify the situation, QALAMPIR.UZ contacted the Representative of the Oliy Majlis for Children’s Rights (Children’s Ombudsman), Surayyo Rahmonova.

According to Rahmonova, the woman in the footage insulted her minor children during the broadcast and threatened them with physical violence. She was identified as M.I., a resident of Fergana city in the Fergana region.

Following a request from the Children’s Ombudsman, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Agency for Social Protection investigated the case and opened a social protection file for the child. Officials stated that necessary socio-psychological support is being provided to the child, and corrective measures are ongoing with the mother.

The Internal Affairs bodies have also initiated an administrative case against M.I. under Articles 41 (Insult) and 47 (Failure to Fulfill Obligations to Raise and Educate Children) of the Administrative Responsibility Code. The case materials have been forwarded to the court for review and resolution.

Earlier, in Tashkent’s Almazar district, another incident occurred in which a mother assaulted a child who had quarreled with her own child. The victim was hospitalized, and the woman was held administratively liable under Article 52 (Inflicting Minor Bodily Harm) of the Administrative Responsibility Code and fined by the court.
