Who is Zelimkhan Haydarov, the new deputy head of the Tennis Federation?

It was recently reported that new deputies have been elected to the Tennis Federation of Uzbekistan. Among them is Zelimkhan Haydarov, the head of the Financial and Economic Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan.  

So, who is Haydarov?  

According to available information, Haydarov worked closely with Uzbekistan’s First President, Islam Karimov, for many years, earning a reputation as one of his most trusted officials. From 1993 to 2018, he served as the head of the Presidential Administration's department.

On August 27, 2018, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev convened a meeting with senior officials of the Presidential Administration, during which he signed decrees on the reorganization of the administration and the appointment of new senior officials. As a result, Haydarov, who had served as an administrator in the Presidential Office for many years, was relieved of his duties. However, on the same day, he was appointed as the head of the Finance and Economic Department of the Presidential Administration.  

Zelimkhan Haydarov was born in 1945 in the Syrdarya region. He is married and has two daughters and one son.  

It is also worth recalling that earlier, it was reported that Bahodir Kurbanov, chairman of the State Football Administration, was nominated for the presidency of the Football Association of Uzbekistan.
