Suspect who sold $51,000 worth of psychotropic substances via a Telegram bot detained

A person who sold narcotic and psychotropic substances worth a total of $51,000 through a Telegram bot has been detained, the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs reported.
During a special operation, authorities identified the activity of a special bot on the Telegram platform created to sell narcotic drugs and psychotropic medicines. The bot had 4,300 subscribers. It was also found that 10 additional bots had been created on the basis of this bot, six of which were active.
According to the investigation, a suspect born in 2002, identified as A., had been running the bot as its administrator. Through the bot managed by this individual, narcotic and medicinal substances were sold to customers 1,076 times, with a total value of $51,294. Narcotic substances and a mobile phone were seized from the suspect as evidence.
Earlier, authorities reported that a 19-year-old woman in Tashkent had been detained for attempting to smuggle narcotics hidden inside sweets from abroad.
