Suspects attempt to flee security officers in Fergana with psychotropic drugs (video)

In the city of Kokand, Fergana Region, individuals attempting to escape from оператив officers were detained with 11,650 units of potent substances. The State Security Service of Uzbekistan reported the incident.

According to the statement, a joint оператив operation was carried out by officers of the State Security Service’s Fergana regional department in cooperation with customs and internal affairs authorities as part of efforts to combat the illegal circulation of narcotic and psychotropic substances.

Specifically, two residents of Kokand, born in 1994 and 2002, traveled to the Fergana district in a Chevrolet Gentra belonging to an acquaintance from the Kushtepa district. There, they received 11,650 units of the potent drug “Regapen,” which had been illegally smuggled into Uzbekistan from a neighboring country.

While returning to Kokand, the suspects were stopped by оператив officers in the Uchkuprik district. At that moment, they attempted to throw the drugs out of the vehicle and flee the scene, but were apprehended by law enforcement officers.

Investigators established that the suspects had been engaged in the sale of such substances to individuals in Fergana and Kokand.

A criminal case has been initiated against the detainees, and investigative actions are currently underway.

Earlier, a hidden warehouse was uncovered in the Tashkent district of Tashkent Region.
