The press service of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) announced that Uzbekistan will host the World Championships in kayaking and canoeing, marking a significant milestone for the country.

Scheduled for August 23-25, the championship will take place in Samarkand, utilizing Central Asia's sole rowing channel. Notably, athletes will compete in non-Olympic distances, following the conclusion of the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games.

Highlighting Uzbekistan's growing stature in sporting events, the source emphasized the continuation of a three-year tradition of hosting world championships. This year, the country will proudly host the global competition for adult athletes in kayaking and canoeing.
