8166A total of 398 management employees working within the Ministries of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy, Water Management, and Agriculture, along with their affiliated organizations, have been found to be involved in 449 business entities through their establishments. This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Agency.
According to the report, 93 management employees of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy were engaged in 112 business entities, 26 management employees of the Ministry of Water Management were involved in 35 business entities, and 279 management employees of the Ministry of Agriculture were found to be operating in 302 business entities.
The Anti-Corruption Agency has made relevant submissions to these ministries to address the identified cases, and the legal violations have been rectified.
For reference, Article 13 of the Law "On State Civil Service" clearly outlines the restrictions related to State Civil Service.
According to this article, a civil servant is prohibited from engaging in business activities. Furthermore, paragraph 13 of the "Model Code of Conduct for Civil Servants," approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 595, stipulates that civil servants shall not engage in business or other paid activities during non-working hours.
