State kindergarten in Surkhandarya was found to lack of drinking water

A recently completed preschool educational institution in the Kumkurgan district of the Surkhandarya region was found to be without a drinking water supply, and the building lacked cooling systems, as the Children's Ombudsman reported.
The investigation, prompted by a complaint from a resident named A.N., revealed that all the trees in the yard of the institution had dried up due to the lack of watering.
In response, four refrigerators were installed in the rooms of the preschool, and a special structure with a capacity of 4 tons was provided to store clean drinking water.
"Currently, funds are planned to be allocated from the regional budget in the 2024 cost estimate for this state preschool education organization. A clean drinking water pipeline will be laid from a distance of 980 meters to supply the kindergarten with clean water. The regional prosecutor's office will supervise the execution of this project," the report stated.
