Grocery store catches fire in Surkhandarya (video)

A fire broke out at a grocery outlet located in the market of Uzun district, Surkhandarya region, yesterday, September 5, the regional Emergency Situations department reported.

According to the report, at around 18:18, a fire occurred in a 20-square-meter area of a grocery outlet at house No. 95, Termiziy street, “Kichik Jonchekka” neighborhood, Uzun district. The incident was reported to the Uzun district Emergency Situations department via the 112 hotline. Two fire-rescue crews arrived at the scene at 18:28, contained the blaze, and fully extinguished it by 18:50.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently being investigated. Officials from the district Emergency Situations department arrived at the scene.

It is worth noting that earlier, a fire broke out at a household goods store in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region. As a result of the incident, the roof and interior of the store, covering an area of about 70 square meters, were damaged. No injuries were reported.
