Father and son stabbed in Surkhandarya (video)

A report was submitted to QALAMPIR.UZ regarding the stabbing of a father and his minor son in March of this year in the Sariosiyo district of Surkhandarya region. The applicant, a woman, stated that her husband was the family’s sole breadwinner and that their underage son was also among the victims. She alleged that no action had been taken against those responsible for the attack.

In an effort to obtain official information, the editorial team contacted the regional Department of Internal Affairs. However, the department’s press officer declined to provide any details.

Following this, QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to the Children's Ombudsperson, Surayyo Rakhmonova. According to her, the incident occurred on March 27, 2025. On March 28, a criminal case was initiated under Article 104, Part 2, Clause “l” of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of serious bodily harm). A citizen identified as R.Q. was charged in connection with the crime, and a preventive measure in the form of pre-trial detention was applied.

The investigation is currently being conducted by the Investigation Department of the Sariosiyo District Police.

It is worth noting that earlier, in a separate case in Tashkent, a 31-year-old woman and her 12-year-old child were stabbed by a relative.
