8-year-old girl fatally hit by Nexia in Surkhandarya

An 8-year-old girl died after being struck by a Nexia car in the Uzun district of the Surkhandarya region. The incident was reported by the Hudud program.
According to the report, a 29-year-old man driving a Nexia-2 failed to slow down despite a road sign indicating a nearby school. As a result, he hit the 8-year-old girl as she was crossing the pedestrian walkway. The girl died on the spot.
The case was reviewed by the "Uzun" District Criminal Court. By court ruling, the driver was sentenced to five years in prison and banned from operating any vehicle for two years. The sentence will be served in a special regime colony.
It should be recalled that earlier, a 20-year-old man driving a Spark died in a car accident in the Shaykhontohur district of Tashkent.
