There were reports on social networks that the waste landfill of Angor district was burned, and the smell of its use was unbearable. The Department of Ecology of Surkhandarya region responded to these reports.
It is noted that in the course of the study, it was found that the waste landfill located in “Kattaqum” neighborhood, Angor district, Surkhandarya region caught fire naturally.
“On the basis of prompt instructions of the authorities, the fire was extinguished in the prescribed manner and recultivation was carried out on the spot,” the department said in response.
