Electricity worth 1.9 billion soums stolen in Surkhandarya

A case of illegal use of electricity worth 1.9 billion soums was detected in Surkhandarya region. The Inspectorate for Control over the Use of Electricity, Petroleum Products and Gas reported this.
During an inspection conducted by the Prosecutor General’s Office headquarters in Kumkurgan district, it was found that water pumps belonging to the Sh.M. farm had been connected to the network bypassing the meter and had been illegally using electricity.
As a result of the violation, damage of 1.907 billion soums was caused to the electricity supply company.
Earlier, a farm illegally using electricity worth 7.3 billion soums was identified in Jizzakh region.
