The embezzlers of “Surkhan” football club are being identified

The financial activities of the "Surkhan" football club for 2019-2022 are being studied by the State Financial Control.  Sanjar Shomurodov, vice-president of the Surkhandarya football association, told QALAMPIR.UZ about this.

It is known that Sanjar Shomurodov did not interfere in the audit settlement work.

Over the past years, the funds allocated to the club by the budget have been spent without purpose.  In addition to the agreements signed by the Uzbek Professional Football League, additional contracts were signed at the "Surkhan" football club.

On 9 January, it was revealed that the "Surkhan" football club was bought by new investors.

"The names of the players who have signed a contract with the club and are not registered with the UzPFL are being checked.  It is also being determined under which leadership these situations took place.  Their names will be announced soon," said the vice president of the Surkhandarya Football Association.

It is noted that for the past three years, UzPFL has emphasized that the financial situation of the "Surkhan" football club is not satisfactory, but there have been no changes in the control of the financial situation in the club.

Also, Sanjar Shomurodov gave information about the repair works in the home arena of the club, which could not spend the last year in its stadium.

"Hereinafter new investors have taken over the reconstruction of the stadium.  The grandstand, projector, and field are being renovated.  The club can play the second round of the season at its stadium," said Shomurodov.
