In Uzbekistan, the income and solvency of the population have doubled in the last seven years. As a result, the population is in demand for new types of services. This was announced today, February 7, at a videoconference meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to discuss the main tasks for the development of the service sector.

It was noted at the videoconference that a large-scale program for the development of the service sector, adopted three years ago, is bearing fruit today. It is reported that an additional 1.5 million people have earned a permanent income in the service sector. Services have increased from $19 billion in 2018 to $65 billion (an increase of 3.5 times).

A "big leap" has been made, especially in the IT, financial services, tourism, aviation, education, and medicine sectors.

As the population's income and purchasing power have doubled in the past seven years, the demand for new services is increasing. Accordingly, it was noted that ministers and governors should develop services in line with demand.
